Over the years I've tried to balance being a jock, a social and political activist, a writer and reader, a mother, wife and friend. I've had the good fortune to be able to do lots of different things and hope to do lots more! Just a few of my gigs in no particular order. waitress, research assistant, president of a Montessori pre-school, planning board member, janitor, affordable housing planner, citizen activist, paperboy, middle school English teacher, campaign writer, basketball and softball coach. Somewhere in there, although I was raised Catholic, I helped my sons become Bar Mitzvah.
I have an undergraduate degree in psychology from Princeton and a master's degree in city and regional planning from Rutgers. In the past few years I've taken writing workshops at Squaw Valley, Provincetown, Naropa and the 92nd Street Y. My fiction, nonfiction and poetry continue to show up wherever anyone will print the stuff. If you want some words from me, feel free to get in touch. |
